Kids & CHILDREN ministry
Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." –Matthew 19:14
As a church, we invite children of all ages to be a part of the growing, thriving ministry of our church. With spaces for newborns and toddlers in our nursery and classes for preschoolers and elementary school every Sunday morning, we welcome your entire family to take part in learning and growing towards Christ as a part of our faith-community.
Our mission in children's ministry is to reach and teach children of all ages about the love of God that they might know Him as their Savior and be able to share His love with others in their lives. Although they may not be able to fully express it, children have souls that are yearning for God and it is our goal to help them find and follow after Him as they grow. It is our desire that every child experience God-centered programs and activities at our church that will nurture them in developing their faith.

students
If you spend any time around Mark and Debbie Russell, you'll quickly learn one thing: they love students. And they see how each student is bursting with potential. They truly believe that the middle and high school students in our midst are world changers in the making.
That's why student ministry is so important to our church. We want to guide our students in developing a personal faith in Christ as they step into their specific roles in the story He's writing with their lives. We work hard to create environments that engage students in good conversation about God, encouraging them to ask questions, search out answers, and truly learn to listen to His leading in their lives.

Tuesday kinship
We have been created to live in community and not in isolation. Physically, we do live in a community, but spiritually, socially, and relationally we often live our lives in isolation. We find ourselves with no one to turn to when we have a major issue that has just surfaced in our life. Living in community affords us the opportunity to more wholly experience God through close relationships as we play and pray together, as we encourage and help one another, and as we study and live out God’s word together.
At our church, a community group usually consists of 7-15 attendees in various life stages who meet on a regular basis in someone's home. These communities are about establishing relationships that encourage us to grow spiritually, offer mercy towards one another in our time of need, and, as groups, be the hand of justice in our community and the world around us.

Worship ministry
The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to use music and song to provide an environment for people to glorify God and experience life transformation. Every week, thousands of people come together here to enter into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship.
Accomplishing this requires a large group of people who use their gifts and talents to serve God and minister to the hearts of His people. We would love to have you get involved. If you play an instrument, sing, or dance, we invite you to consider joining our worship family. Our Tech Team is always looking for camera techs, photographers, operators, producers and more. We would love to have you serve with us as we worship God through Worship, Arts, and Technology. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact us today!

Begin again
No matter what your story is, God has written it. Whether you've come from a diverse and rough background, or a relatively easy one - God is the ultimate author of your story.
At Begin Again, we work together to help each other understand that story from God's perspective. Our desire is to see individuals grow and heal from their "Hurts, Habits, & Hang-Ups" that they have accumulated over the years in a safe environment that allows Jesus to come in and bring hope and healing to their lives.
We meet at 6:30 on Monday nights. We sing a little, then begin exploring and discussing a topic that is relevant to our lives. Topics like how to deal with things such as... shame, addictions, abuse, anger, codependency and unresolved pains from the past. All conversations are held in complete confidence, because we strive to be a safe place where people can share freely. A place where you can belong. A place to care and be cared for. A place where respect is given to each member while being encouraged to learn, grow and become the person God originally designed them to be!

Wednesday night EQUIPPING class
Every Wednesday night except on movie night (1st Wed) we gather together at 6:30 at the church to study, pray and encourage each other in learning how to move in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The people who attend this class become part of our prayer teams that pray for people at the end of our service on Sunday mornings.
Few things are as puzzling or raise as many questions for us as Christians as the Holy Spirit. If we were honest, some of us would have to admit that we believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the "Big Gray Blur." We just don't "get" the Holy Spirit!
The bible certainly can help, since it says a lot about the Holy Spirit. For example, Jesus always referred to the Spirit as "He" and not as "It" (John 14:15-17). This tells us that the Spirit is a person and not some kind of intangible force like electricity or gravity—He is someone with whom we can relate. If you are a Christian, according to the bible you have been "born of the Spirit" (John 3:8), and you have the Spirit, because "if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ" (Romans 8:9).
But the bible also refers to the Spirit as the breath of God, wind, fire, a dove, counselor, helper, bringer of truth, giver of gifts, source of power. The Spirit is said to "fill" people, "come on" people, "speak through" people, even "move" people. It can all become very confusing. How should we today relate to God the Holy Spirit?
A simple way to think of the Holy Spirit's ministry in our lives is as the experienced or "felt" presence of God. Paul said that Jesus was the [visible] image of the invisible God (Colossians 1:15). "Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father," Jesus said (John 14:9). The Spirit, on the other hand, is the felt presence of the invisible God, which means that the Spirit is meant to be experienced (see John 7:37-39; Acts 2:1-4, 17-21; Romans 8: 11,13-16).
We take all this in and much more to train and equip people to do prayer ministry, whether it's out on the streets or in a church service or just at home with their families. We believe that prayer Ministry is a vital part of demonstrating the power and active presence of God’s kingdom. In fact, you will find it hard to be at Vineyard without having someone offer to pray for you or be given the opportunity to be trained to pray for others. For the community of believers here, prayer ministry is considered an important expression of “normal” Christianity and therefore one of the core values of our church.

mexico mission trips
Join Shelley as she joins up with the Duluth Vineyard Mexico mission trip to Mazatlán in January. They will participate in feeding outreaches, building projects, children's ministry to some of the poorest areas of Mexico.
All ages are welcomed. All these trips are life changing as you are exposed to some of the most impoverished areas in the world where not only will you touch the heart of some of the most precious people you will ever meet, but they will touch your heart as well! Remember Jesus said...
Matt 25:31-40
"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his throne in heavenly glory. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. "Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' "Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?' "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'
So Please, don't miss this opportunity to be God's hands and feet and voice to those hungry both for food and spiritual awakening!

Karate
Why are we teaching this Class? To help combat the small town mentality that believes their kids will fall prey to the drug/alcohol culture. Growing up in a small town myself, I understand how lack of opportunities to experience life on a broader scale leads to issues of boredom, which without a strong sense of self discipline and purpose and peer support, can lead someone to experiment with drugs and alcohol. In this class, we strive to equip our students to become more leaders than followers.
I also believe that by teaching kids about honor, respect, and self discipline they will become not only become better students, but better people all way round!
- Time: Classes meet every Tuesday and Thursday. The four o'clock class is for upper belts, and the 5 o'clock class is for lower belt students.
- Cost: Monthly fees is 35.00. Adding children with in the same family is 15.00 for the second child, and 10.00 for every child after that.
